How you're assessed, and what you get

The trainer observes each delegate using an extinguisher. Attendance and a successful practical assessment are both required for the certificate.

Confirms that you attended the session and met the trainer's practical assessment on the day. It is not a regulated qualification.

Every certificate has a unique reference that anyone can check online. Certificates record what you completed or attended with us. They are not a regulated qualification and do not by themselves confirm competence for a particular role. Under the Building Safety Act, competence is skills, knowledge, experience and behaviours. This practical course evidences knowledge and skills, assessed in person. Experience and behaviours come from your work.
